Sorry for your loss. Your pics didn't come through. These bikes in good used running condition sell under $1500. A lot of them sell under $1000. I would keep it for an around town bike.

Be careful and verify that those dealers have them in stock. The bobbers are not currently being imported from my understanding.

Buyer beware! Most of these places are drop shippers and have no idea what stock is available. Plus, they rarely update their websites except to add something new.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

I have been doing wheel work since I was a kid, about 30 years. I had no other choice but to repair my own wheels. There's no problems with ringing spokes and tightening them. It takes more than...

I do mine off the ground to take weight off the spokes. There are vids on youtube that show the ringing of spokes when adjusting them.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Check your spokes and make sure they are tight. If you hit them lightly with a 15mm wrench, they should ring. If they have a thud, check the tightness. They don't require much torque, but they need...

He will. Some of his friend's parents own a lot of farmland and he will be riding with them. He'll also be chasing me around your area of WNC on the old forest service roads, logging trails, and fire...

You've been seen around WNC and ETN a lot. It shouldn't be hard to make a deal. Know how you take care of your machines. I would take it but my son turns 15 years old next year. He has his heart set...

Just keep in mind that you'll need a reducer to go from the 3 inch exhaust ti to the Bobber's smaller header.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

From my understanding, the Bobber comes with a flow through exhaust. The only way to make it louder is to shorten it. Shortening it will make it a bit higher pitched as well. Lengthening it will fake...

If your bike has the air injection system, it will pop through the exhaust on decel.

That is the water cooled engine that CSC uses in the RX3. It seems like a solid engine. I'm not sure if it's a clone of any one engine. It seems like a culmination of several.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

They are pretty much the same bike. IIRC, Dong Fang make them both. The hiest just gets a little more detail paid to it. I'm not sure what you mean by the fork racks. There is, or was, a Heist thread...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

I would do both and get an average. Then add just a ouch more. Some fluid gets trapped in the bottom of the fork slider under the dampener rod.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Yes, but you'll need to know how much to fill them with. To little and you'll burn up the bushing and not get any dampening. To much and the ride will be extremely stiff or lock up the forks. When...

You can loosen the top clamp bolt on the triple clamp, remove the fork cap, and look down inside without removing them.

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

The forks probably came dry and need fluid in them. They take 10w fork oil and some riders use ATF. I'm not sure how much is required per fork. Maybe HumanBeing will have that information. As far as...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Some don't have check valves. Usually, the master cylinder being above the caliper will do the trick. Also, the reservoir getting low can cause a bit of suction pulling the caliper in. The rubber...
