    Re: KOVE 450 Rally

Thx for the reply. The Chinese models are far cheaper and someday I may buy one in China but for the time being I have employment in Canada and no money coming in in China so that is a future...

    KOVE 450 Rally

Has anyone ridden the KOVE 450 Rally from Chongqing? Suppose to be as good as the KTM 500 Rally at 1/3 the price. Their 3 entries in the Dakar all finished on first entry.

Re: Why did you buy a motorcycle?

Built this one in Dubai. Might have it finished in Canada this summer. My home is Hainan but really with no work visas for people over 60 in China don't expect to spend many days/yr there for the...

Why did you buy a motorcycle?

Haven't been here for a while. Was working in Dubai and then with Covid, couldn't come home to China. Doing an online market research course. Can you answer in one or two lines, with all the...

    Re: No duty

Hainan is a special economic zone with no duties companies importing things there. I am going to look into starting a company there and getting it in that way.

    No duty

It's been a long while since I've seen anything about this but isn't there a way for an expat with a working visa to get one vehicle into China without paying the import duties? I'd rather not sell...

Re: Winter Motor Biking Hainan Island 'PRC

Well since you asked, I already have. By next winter there'll be two bachelors, one two-bed, and one three-bed. For kids, play grounds and a few big in-ground pools, tennis, basketball, billiards,...

    Any custom wheel builders?

Hi bikers. I am finding my one-speed Luddite 29er a little too slow for the flats and wanting a rear wheel built with a three speed internal hub. I can supply all the parts except the rim and spokes....

    Re: I-phone app

First time through I was getting about 75% but I put every wrong one in the Favourites folder and can go back to them. Now almost perfect, but there are no motorcycle questions. The cops in Haikou...

I am using the Drive in China I-phone app to prepare to write this exam but there are mo motorcycle specific questions. If they are as odd as the other ones I would never get 90% without preparing....

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

They had me start at the bottom of the ramp because the helmet was too small.

19,800 RMB doesn't sound like a bad price for the RX3. Found myself checking to make sure it wasn't in second gear....

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

Here is the Repsol Honda. No size written on it. Normally I like racing of any kind but no track on Hainan so a waste of time. Did a little Formula Ford many years ago.

    Also the elusive CF Moto...

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

The Loncin Unicorn is a new 600cc bike and looked pretty good from what I could see. 40,000 RMB they said. KTM didn't have much on display. I saw this 350 and an 1190. The police buggy could be...

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

Kind of a neat chopper although no power. Wonder how hard it would be to put a Sportster 1200 motor in it and keep it licensed.

girls looked good if nothing else.

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

    Re: CIMA 2013 Chongqing

If you will be in Chongqing you need to allow a partial day to visit to prison. This is an important part of Chinese history and worth a look. This was a secret prison which began as a villa and was...

Anybody been to Chongqing CIMA before and have a hotel to recommend near the centre without any cockroaches ?
  25. Re: Afghan biker gang spotted on Hainan Island

Did that with a previous bike I had before here. Only a little gain on blacktop. With 32/18 gearing, speed is not the priority. Used the bike in some rural area yesterday and the 2.25 knobs are...
