I have spark :clap: . A previous owner had a DC CDI installed, and it was fried. Replaced with AC CDI, and spark is good. Good enough to zap me :lol8:. Thanks for the help. Still more to do see you...

Thank you for the pics to explain, big help. This may be a dumb question, but does the ignition coil need to match the AC or DC CDI ? Or is it universal?

New stator didnt help! Stator is identical to stock. HOW do I know if CDI is AC or DC. CDI is smaller 5 pin squarer single connector.8203820082018202:confused1:

So I polished out the rust, and thie pick up spots then checked with multimeter;

The only one I didn't get a reading on the part i think is called the exciter...

Carb is already soaking, going to do oil change and chain tomarrow. BUT I think the coil isn't the problem!!!!! I checked the ignition coil with multimeter and I think it is good.
