Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Yup, hard to believe that was 8 years ago and QingQi still hasn't made a legal version of this bike for China. :lol8:

Which sucks, because in that month, you probably lost the ability to get it registered :frump:. I hope I'm wrong and the XTR and TGR can still be regged with a carb.

Well Jon, I'm not surprised that you got less than perfect service, but waiting a month for a reply to an email :rolleyes1:. Pick up the phone, it's the best way to get things done in the MC...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Interesting concept for a GY-7, radiators will be wasted in no time. Don't know if it's counterbalanced, but I think I would stick with the Loncin 233 air cooled, counter balanced, model instead....

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

1.) Only comes with motard wheels, bought the 21"/18" setup from Taobao. Same as the QM200. I'm working on a 17"/19" setup for touring.
2.) Tank is 10 liters (250 km) range. This is the main...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Thanks for the tip Serpentza, I was going with function over form on the mirrors. I got some new solid CNC ones for my Yingang 250, they're probably the coolest of the bunch, but ¥200 a pair is...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Not going to win any beauty contests with the addition of the handguard extensions and mirrors, but at least my hands will be well protected, and I can see more than just shoulders in the rear view....

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Would like to know that myself, but guessing the universal model can be made to work with the QingQi. Maybe send them an email and ask about which unit they would recommend for a DR200. Seems the...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

Oops...Ya caught me photoshopping. I was thinking about sending the mounting bits over to the anodizer so they don't stick out so much. Also not really happy with shiny plastic of the handguards,...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

The first changes I made were adding the rear rack and replacing the footpegs, same as the ones I used earlier in this thread. Next it was on to the handlebars for some improvement. The stock bars...

Re: ChinaV's new MCM QingQi 250!!!

The pickup housing is the same as the older cable driven one, with the exception of the cable being replaced with two wires instead of a drive-cable running to the speedo. A couple observations about...

The link to the story of the "The Rock" has most of the details about the bike. Getting solid info out of QingQi is almost impossible. I tried for months to purchase one,...
