A mate did his full motorbike license here in Shanghai some years ago and had to go to Xiao Kunshan Driving School to complete the full learning cycle and classes (Driving and Theory). He was allowed...

This applies to everyone, lets say your international driving license has all the unrestricted motorbike endorsements (incl. sidecar) and of course the English / Chinese...

Just talked to our biker buddy in Shanghai and he went for the test on 10th.January 2013, failed due to new questions (of course he studied all the 2012 questions).

Some of my "older & wiser" mates have reminders in the Shanghai issued driving license about medical checks once they turn the magic 60, see attached picture.

Sorry to disappoint, he does not own a Ducati MTS.......
Will report the outcome once the test and medical has been done and rest assured I am not the unlucky candidate.

Here is an update on the situation, our mate has to do a new full test (theory & questions only for car) and a full medical check up as he is a few years over 60 and was never asked to do...

A mate (over 60 years of age) tried to renew his C1/D Driving License on Friday and had his motorcycle license cancelled due to his age. He was told a new law was passed recently and the cut-off age...
