I have the monstercraftsman chain tensioner 1" clamp on. Had attached to rear frame cross tube by rear wheel, but the fit is a bit tight and when the chain goes tight the wheel is hitting the frame.

Re changing the rear sprocket has everyone also shortened the chain or just adjusted the rear wheel? Also has anyone else installed a chain tensioner? I am having a few issues with my setup

Most of the mods are not needed. You can buy one stock standard and be happy. Its just the mods are cheap and easy, so fun to tinker with.

its a yamaha xs650 tank. No cutting needed just new mounting points. Did you use a satin finish paint on yours ,is it black or pewter?
