Engine and trans are combined. Use 10w-40 Motorcycle Oil.

These single cylinder engines are notorious for vibration. I got a bottle of blue loctite and put it on all the hardware for the lights, mirrors, etc. I also had to put some on the front sprocket...

I bought a DF250rtc from ScooterGasMotor.com and I have no complaints. It was $1759 + shipping, extra warranty, shipping ins = $2236 Total.
