    Re: the need for speed

    Just an update.
    So far I've fitted:
Yoshimurra rip off pit bike end can £35
    16t front sprocket £9
    Renthal fat bars £40

The cheap exhaust is sick. Not a perfect fit, but only 2mm out....

    Re: lsm125 into a lsm150

Also, does anyone know of a similar kit (all parts included) I can buy from somewhere a bit closer to home?

    lsm125 into a lsm150

    http://a.m.taobao.com/i14125240600.htm

I was given this link a couple months back when I was asking about big bore kits. Just wanted to double check it would actually fit my lexmoto str125yb....
  4. Re: Sprockets for sale! 17 tooth sprockets for sale!

Well cheers for the spreading the word about them then. I've been meaning to check my sprocket size for a couple of days and you've said me the effort, ta.
It should arrive soon so I'll report back...
  5. Re: Sprockets for sale! 17 tooth sprockets for sale!

Also, just realized I bought the £3 more expensive one off eBay without even looking at the other...
  6. Re: Sprockets for sale! 17 tooth sprockets for sale!

Made a purchase. I'm presuming I can use the bolts and plate from the old sprocket to fit it?

    Is it your eBay store?
  7. Re: Sprockets for sale! 17 tooth sprockets for sale!

I'm guessing the answer's no, but I'm right in thinking this won't fit my lsm125?

    Re: lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

    I'm 11.5 stone (73kg). Skinny but I'm 6.5 foot.
I'm mainly on tight twisty country lanes, between 30-50mph. But I spend a lot of time on long, straight, 60 - 70mph, two lane roads. I dont spend much...

    Re: lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

Cheers Zorge. Explained a lot for me. Everything you said makes perfect sense! Except for moving away from wet old England!
I visit a couple other bike forums but the general response to Chinese...

    Re: lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

Lao Jia hou, ta for the reply. I've been busy past few days, but plan on having a good look inside the airbox tomorrow, so I'll have a proper look at what's going on and report my findings back. As...

    Re: lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

I've tried to add a photo but on my phone so it may not work.
The top of the head has a metal tube, on this tube is a rubber hose leading to what I presume is an oil pump (not sure if it is a pump...

    Re: lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

Ta for the reply Zorge. I'll have to strip the thing down tomorrow and have a proper look around. I'll take a few photos if anything looks dodgy.
And I didn't mean it drips, more that a small amount...

    lsm125, airbox+oil=bad

So my lsm125 has been dumping oil out of the air box. When it happens my oil reservoir doesn't decrease so I'm guessing its a combination of water and oil. The garage I bought the thing from claims...

    Re: the need for speed

If that's true it makes me sad. Why does it show at 10% increase?

    Re: the need for speed

Well that's rubbish because mine sits at 62mph, head down on flat 70mph, and I've had 85mph down a massive hill. People seem to always claim top ends are s bit lower that what they are.

    And...

Haha that explains it! I'll keep that site saved for now, have a proper look when I'm ready to make such as drastic change. Thanks.

    Re: the need for speed

If gaining that bit more speed would result in a major loss of torque it'd not be worth it. I haven't got much torque as it is and enjoy testing my road tyres off road where I can, so I think I'd end...

    Re: the need for speed

I wasn't complaining that its too expensive! Its incredibly cheap, too cheap to trust almost. I understand china can pump out some cheap products but surely just the metal (let alone actually making...

    Re: the need for speed

According to Google that costs £1.38. Surely that can't be right? Is ¥201.00 two hundred or twenty thousand?
Also, are these as easy to fit as they appear or would I need specialist tools and...

I'm just going by what I've read or been told. In theory these mods combined should work but I really don't know.

    the need for speed

A question i'm sure every 125 owner asks: how to i get more speed out of my machine?

I've got a lexmoto lsm125, not a bad bike by any means but the top end is a bit lacking. As far as i'm aware...
  22. Re: using a ybr/xt haynes manual for lsm125

    Ta for the replies.
i've downloaded the chinglish manual and spent a long time laughing at the diagram. and as far as wiring's concerned it's ussually easy enough to figure out.

  24. using a ybr/xt haynes manual for lsm125

I've got a haynes manual for a yamaha ybr/xt, and was just wondering if i could use it for info on my lexmoto lsm125. I know the lsm's engine is a ybr clone so in theory it shoul all be the same, or...
