    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

    THIS IS IT.

Well we had a good run but this is the end. My bike had been unused and dare I say, unloved for the past six months. With two baby strollers two bicycles and a e-bike in my garage,...

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

And after 3 months of uneventful winter, my dearest motorbike has resumed active service in 4 kicks. Well the battery is dead but i already knew that. Anyway it looks better than ever with brand new...

A bit of black on the handlebars won't hurt but it's just cosmetic as it's a non rust alloy.

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

This bike is so simple that taking it apart takes about 3 hours tops. I wanted to open it up so I could clean the chassis, check the weldings for rust and if necessary brush/weld and coat with...

Re: Looking to buy a good bicycle

    Hi Bikerdoc, I second that.

Foldie is what I wanted to buy when i lived in Chengdu, but I just relocated in a place with mountains, hence the Rockrider. But I drive a minivan and even with back...

Re: Looking to buy a good bicycle

    Hi Guadalcanal,

you can try Merida which is from Taiwan and available on every corner in China and all the Giant, USA made in China bikes. All decent stuff. Sometimes a wee bit pricey.

    My...

    Hi MJH,

You are quite the source of information. Cheers for the adress of the FYM website. I was starting to think they had completely dissapeared.

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

I never liked the front end of the bike. The rear might look classic but the square headlight was like a cheap version of a 1992 Ninja...with all but 11 hp in stock. You can't blame the designers for...

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

Yeah, i could film wrap it like a sandwich. Painting is an issue with this bike : the first time you paint over because you don't want your quasi new bike to look so old. But if you buy cheap aerosol...

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

I can't seem to add pics to my original post so here goes.

This is a picture of the bike in white once it was painted matt white and black. My wife seems happy there, but actually it was her first...

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

In my case airfilter was not an issue. If I could have had a properly sealed tank, a good fuel filter with a seethrough decanter to check water level in the fuel, i think it would have saved me time....

    Re: FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

    Hi Zorge

Surprisingly the air filter didn't have a problem. But it's a pain in the ass to dislodge from the chassis, so i have only ever opened it twice. I have driven in four sandstorms and sand...

    FeiYing FYM 150-3 2009

This is the story of my first 10000km with my beloved FYM 150-3. It explains why i bought such a cheapo bike, how it has always performed well, and how much time and money i have spent on maintenance...

Re: How much should a Lifan 125 or 150 cost?

    Hi Harbinsteve,

I don't have the price for your bike. But where i live in north jiangsu - cheap area- there is no shiny chopper with front disk brake and oil cooling for 4 to 5000RMB.

    At least...
