Re: Best Cities for Bike Culture

Prince's motorcycle chat-board. Listen to Prince's opinion on everything, learn from Prince. Everyone new must learn from Prince, everyone else must defer to Prince or be talked down to by Prince....

Re: Best Cities for Bike Culture

Obviously if he has lived all over China for the last 15 years, he'll have not one clue about Thailand and need to be taught about it by clever old you.

Also the thread was about 'cities with the...

Re: Best Cities for Bike Culture

Re: Best Cities for Bike Culture

Jinan (Shandong) isn't too bad. There are kms of mountain roads to the south of the town towards Taian/Taishan. There is a definitely growing bike culture, loads of BMWs etc can be seen on the...
  5. Re: Racist Californians; or maybe the truth hurts??

It's not about race, a driver can only be as good as their training and experience. Clearly the majority of Chinese car drivers are noobs taught to drive by complete gibbons!
  6. Re: New kid on the block looking for some moto orientated friends

China is a battle for control and authority. The desperate quest for money is just a symptom of that, surprisingly not the cause. in reality it's a giant battle to be puppet-master and have the...
  7. Re: New kid on the block looking for some moto orientated friends

In short - rural area good. City - sucks.
  8. Re: New kid on the block looking for some moto orientated friends

Dear Chris, Guangdong province (especially Guangzhou and Shenzhen) is a horrible place to own a motorcycle. Many of the locals have a car love mental disorder that manifests itself in a need to ban...

Re: The dangers of riding in China

In China this is just situation normal. When you expect road users to have a clue that's when you'll get hurt.

    Re: Beijing-Shanghai late June

Tarps...get one and bungee cords and you can use it over you with a hammock, excellent idea it can be stormy at this time of year.

    Re: Beijing-Shanghai late June

    My two cents...
Go to decathlon and buy a hammock, mosquito repellent or net and a summer sleeping bag. Use it to take a break during the hot 10am-3pm 35-38c max daytime temps, loads of trees along...
  13. Re: Interesting video, "Are motorbikes allowed on Toll roads in China"

In China there is a law against everything.
It only matters what laws they actually enforce.

Re: Benelli bj600gs for sale Beijing

If you want to go motorcycle adventuring first try cycle bikepacking or backpacking so you can figure out what things you really need to bring, otherwise this can be the outcome! :rolleyes1:
  15. Re: Hi from UK (I ride UK to China) & hope also China - UK

Enraging that they make this kind of hoop jumping bureaucracy for motorcycles when the reason that the laws were implemented was due to thousands of honking, myopic self-centered Chinese car/SUV...

    Re: CFMoto 650NK Starter problem

First thought - battery. Drained too low to turn over engine, but enough power to run the dash lights?
2nd thought - kill switch on or wiring in it toasted (as above).
    3rd thought - Some random...

    Re: Evoke

Do you have a rough idea of the 2nd hand value of a lithium power-pack for an Urban S? The reason is if I was sitting on 10,000 yuan or more of Lithium batteries the cost would be much more...

    More questions....

The cost is quite high but is this due to the cost of the Lithium batteries? Could there be some guaranteed buy-back at the end of the lifetime of the bike, like if you buy...

I emailed the CEO Nathan, I hope he can answer some questions:

    - Chinese law seems a minefield. I am fairly certain that an ebike can have a maximum power of 200-300 watts under Chinese law....

I've been interested in e-motorcycles for a few years, I've heard of Evoke on these forums before as an idea start-up, but it seems they are actually taking pre-orders on their first bike the Urban...

Re: CFMOTO 650NK review at 10,000 km

    Dear Dave,

    Sorry I missed your post.
Yes my bike is a 2013 model. I think some issues are to do with the year of manufacture.

My opinion would still be to buy a 2nd hand Honda rather than buy...
  22. Re: 50k to spend in China. The 650nk? The Benelli 600? What would you buy and why?

I don't know why people are always so obsessed with displacement, instead let's concentrate on power, maybe 30KW but maybe he's thinking of 50KW minimum. A Jialing JH600 puts out only a tiny bit more...

Re: Suggestions for my newly bought 2012 CF 650TR

The brakes on the CFMOTO are pretty much the same as low-end Japanese bike brakes (as is the suspension and electrics) I don't really understand how they couldn't have been sorted almost for free....

Re: Suggestions for my newly bought 2012 CF 650TR
