FWIW...
The older model CF650's (TR, TK, NK etc) use the Ducati ECU / ECM which is not compatible with the newer CF650 models which use Bosch AFAIK. The Ducati ECU/ECMs aren't... -

I replaced with the same brand (Ducati) as the newer ECUs that CFMoto have gone with, from a different manufacturer, aren't backwards compatible AFAIK

Sounds very much like the ECU is the culprit. You might be able to have it recalibrated if you can find a service centre/workshop with the programming device that plugs into the ECU. I don't recall...
