    NzBrakelathes, why not copper grease?

All seems to be working ok, do you know what the best/ easiest method is for replacing the brake pads without taking half the back end apart?

    Cheers.

    Re: break pads

Yes, just done this job myself, very frustrating, removed the big black rubber plug on the right as you look at the brake, then with the small spanner supplied in the tool kit, unbolted the rear...
  5. Re: Easiest way to adjust preload on Sinnis Apache?

Hi RedToasty, that's good, takes time but, as long as you got there .
Is there actually an air valve on the top of the shock?
I've only seen the grease nipple on the bottom of the shock linkage...
  6. Re: Easiest way to adjust preload on Sinnis Apache?

Hi RedToasty, sorry can't offer much help here, all I can say is, I looked at adjusting my shock the other day and I can only suggest that you will have to probably take the air box off and possibly...

    Re: First ride, Sinnis Apache.

Hi, hope you enjoy it, I've found it to be a very good machine, had no major problems, last week it did cut out at traffic lights, took a couple of stabs of the starter to get it going again but,...

    Re: First ride, Sinnis Apache.

Yeah, they look hard, I know I've only done about 150 miles but there is absolutely no sign of wear, it's like they just got put on new not a scuff!

Somewhere I read they were Nylon tyres, this is...

    Re: First ride, Sinnis Apache.

Now had the bike a month and more, riding through London has been a boon, the high seat makes it easy to see over most traffic.

I've now fitted LED running lights, long strips about 12 LEDs I...

    Re: First ride, Sinnis Apache.

ZMC888, couldn't agree with you more, training and experience will get you through, London is packed with small narrow streets, a hell of a lot of cyclists ride really badly, it's often painful to...

Thanks everyone, looks like it is what it is, I must say, it has loosened up a bit now, almost run in and a little bit faster.

    Re: First ride, Sinnis Apache.

I've now had a couple of forays through London traffic, it's very good nipping through the traffic, as it's running in I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit soon.

It is a bit sluggish but, I have...

    Re: Apache restricted?

Thanks for that, I was looking at that messy environmental gubbings, surely removing it shouldn't affect the running adversely?

I was toying with the idea of removing it and seeing how I got on,...

Re: Dopey question from a new by!

I can't see anywhere the key can go, there are only two screws holding the side panels on and nowhere for the key to go?

    Is it any particular side?

    Thanks.

Dopey question from a new by!

OK, just taken delivery of my new Apache - in GREEN!
