Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

So, on this valve situation I have found this. .004/.006 is NOT a good choice. The owners manual states it should be .006/.008. I also saw the CCW video and in that video you also heard him say...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Not sure of the cc's for oil, but it's about a 1.25 quarts or so. Filter is on the left side just under the shifter lever. It's a giant 28mm nut cap, remove carefully because there is a spring behind...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Change oil before riding!!!!! The oil that is installed at time of delivery is just shipping oil, buy a magnetic oil plug (you can get one at your local honda dealer, it is the same plug that is used...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

I had the same issue with the wide open throttle. If you look up under your gas tank on the right side where the cable runs you will see a spot in the cable where it looks like it has a larger...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

No, it came out as expected. Gold with a bit of silvery sheen to it, the plug had a silvery/gray color "sludge" to it. Not a glob but enough to cover the surface. I let the bike drain for about an...

If your interested in doing it for under $20 look at some of my previous post with pics on how to do this easily. You really just need some good stainless steel flat stock (I got my stock from a...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

Fresh oil now and the bike has only been started a couple of times without riding it due to the frigid conditions to preserve my battery. I'm not sure what is in the OEM filter but I am going to cut...

Keep in mind that you can also just hit it again with the plasti-dip and feather it out and you would never know it was there. Also, have you ever messed with this stuff? It is super tough! I use it...

Re: Dong Fang DF 250 RTB Bobber Information

6 months or 600 miles. I'm glad I changed mine as it was really sludgey on the magnetic oil plug. Also, it had the silver sheen to it. It didn't have anything noticeable in the filter upon...
