Hi, has anyone heard anything from X2 owners? Are there any reviews out there? They've been on the market for a while now...

i'm pretty interested in a (legal) more powerful alternative to my XTR, but most chinese bikers i spoke to told me to stay away from chinese water-cooled bikes. what do you guys think?

Did they say why you should stay away from the watercooled bikes? There's a fellow in teh UK who got his paws on an X2 for import testing. Can't quite remember his name though I'm sure a search on MCM will dig it up. He's got some video as well.

Far as I know, no one has legally purchased and registered one in China. It been around long enough you'd hope it's been certified and is register-able. Maybe you can be the first!

Shineray has been posting over on ADV Rider (some serious China bike hate over there), he has some photos of the "first guy" to legally register the X2. Felix, it's still a 250, I doubt it's going to perform that much better than your Galaxy as the power to weight is very close.

Sure wish QingQi would get their 250 approved here, it completely blows the doors off any of the other 200-250cc bikes I've ridden in China.

    Cheers!

you're probably right, i think my XTR puts out about 18hp, the X2 is rated at 24. It's not massive...

as for registration, it's legal here. i bumped into one on the roads around anji which was all legally registered. unfortunately he was in a hurry and couldn't hang around to tell me about it... he did, however, pull off faster than me.
