Check it out. The folks at Midwest Motorsports in Canada have put the Shineray XY250GY-2 (X2) up for sale.

It's now under the name NRG250 F and looks to be a real humdinger...for motor-cross at least. Emissions certification problems or marketing decision?

Also worth mentioning is the TFX250 R which is a air cooled but still interesting and street legal.

Need some pricing but so far looking good guys!

    Is the TFX250R from Shineray?

From a distance that looks abit like the old Honda XR250.

I'll make a prediction and say they will sell quite a few of the TTX 50 and TFX 70.

That's if Yamaha doesn't throw a lawsuit at them. As they did in Australia when another company started selling copies of the Yamaha PW50.

    BigD,

You raise a good point. I thought they looked like a Shineray 200 body but going back over their line-up it may very well be from another manufacturer. You'll also notice the two red bikes in the picture have different engines as well so it's not entirely clear which one is actually for sale.

Either way, there looks to be more options opening up in Canada. Too bad the Shineray X2 is not in road legal trim.

+ the site says "The MIDWEST NRG250-F is a competition vehicle, and therefore has NO warranty."
