Try 3 weeks without total internet.
And staring down the barrel of another 2-3 months with out it.
It really just makes me just want to go home.
3-4 months is generally my limit for staying in China and this strech is really testing me.
I nearly punched out a cop a week ago.
My wife said I could not handle Xinjiang.I'm starting to think she is right.

BigD,
No doubt it's a crazy and rugged place even without the recent events. Maybe you could go chill at a buddy's place in the Eastern half for a few weeks?

Where in Xian for a short time.
If it wasn't for the Internet going down I'd have my money transfered from Australia now and be traveling through Ti beet.
The trip was planned and set to go just needed some money for a bike and to pay for the trip even had the visa lined up to get in legally.
My friends are riding through now

Aw jeez man I'm sorry to hear that. Friggin' seems hard to get a break there recently. Just before ChinaV and I planned to take our trip last year we had the big ass earthquake in Sichuan which was followed by months of aftershocks and created a whole crap load of issues with traveling through the mountains. Top that off with the goings on in Tibet and it's amazing we got to see anything at all!
Anyway, chin up holmes. Just like Confucious say: Man who marry nurse, must be patient!

Now this site is also blocked in China and opens only through a proxy.
Probably too many keywords in bigdamo's report about Xinjiang
The closer N-day comes, the more restrictions we noticeAndy

Looks like My China Moto has joined the club and is now blocked in parts of Guangdong. I tested on several DSL lines in a couple different towns and none of them can reach the site.
Cheers! (via proxy)

Constantly amazing. While I suppose it's totally possible and even likely to be true, it could also be something else.
Anyway, thanks for checkin' in.

SORRY
They even blocked thumpertalk don't know why there was virtually nothing on there about China.
It's blocked in Lanzhou, Gansu too.
I heard they kicked all foreign journalists out of Sinjiang a couple of days ago.
Sinjiang the new Ti beet.

No need to be sorry, it's just my guess because the amount of keywords they are probably filtering for is definitely high. The-bed, X..J##n6, P@l1c, Deer-or-is-t, Ui... made the Dragon suspicious and therefore spitting fire.
Strangely I can get to the site through my phoneAndy
