I gutted the "cat" portion on mine along with removing the rear cap and drilling 8 new holes around the center outlet. Much louder and quicker too. I now have a full system that I will be installing in the next day or two so I won't be running the modified stock part anymore.

I'll take some over the weekend if possible, either way I'll get some up. I'm about to install a pro circuit t4 full system for a drz/klx 125. Already test fit it, just need to make a bracket since the provided mounting tab falls short of one of the factory mounting pints and overshoots the other.

Getting the "cat" portion out was a major pain in the butt with the tools I had on hand at the time. It deforms, stretches and collapses in it's efforts to stay in place, trouble is you can't stop once you've started or you'll end up with next to no flow through the muffler. I knew I was replacing the thing so I laid it on it's side and went to work on it, if I were keeping it I would have used a vice :) It got kind of scuffed, nothing a little flat paint wouldn't fix mind you.

How long did it take you to do the work? Did it save any weight?
