    Usually they are in short bottles. Sometimes you can find them in the traditional Chinese half liter bottles but not very often. If you haven't tried it yet it's worth a shot. Just ask for "heipi" next time you go to a good restaurant or club.

    I think all Chinese beer is fairly poor and weak, but some of the premium beer is OK. Some of the premium beers are the same as regular beer but in a designer bottle.

    Personally I prefer imported (weiss beer) German or Belgian beer when it's on offer at the local bar

    Beer Lao all over Kunming, anyway. And I'm sure you can find down near the border. If they distribute to kuming, I'm sure that other big cities in sw china have 'em.
