After weeks of enduring umpteen inane threads started by a 14-year old whose dad had bought him an ATV of 110cc. He kept asking how to tune it up to race standards, (money and lack of any mechanical aptitude appeared to be of no consequence), we read the following new post today:

"what is a good website for 200cc chinese atvs my dad said hell buy me 1 because my 110cc atv cut 3 of my fingers off 2day so he said hes gunna get me a neww 1"

What is the matter with some people?, your son chops 3 fingers off, gets onto the forum and asks where he can get a bigger ATV as daddy is buying him another one...

    Here's the thread:

How did he manage to type that the same day as chopping 3 fingers off?

    can u spell "troll"....
First, just how do you cut off fingers on an atv? get them in the chain while its running? not easy...
Second having seen people lose fingers, unlikely the kid is doing anything but hopping around unless seriously medicated :) in any event, no typing.
Third, if money was no object, we wouldn't be talking about chinese atvs :)

There's a further post from him saying that he was checking out a wobbly rear axle, left the thing in reverse and the chain cut off his ring, index and middle fingers. Says they fell to the ground...

Does sound a little suspicious but then again crazier things can/do happen (esp. here in the good ol' US of A).

If a kid is checking out a wobbly rear axle but sticking three of his central fingers in between the chain and sprocket while on and in gear, he's got a problem bigger than a new ATV will fix. Maybe he should get a new dad!

Agree... just doesn't sound real ...

But a Darwin award for Chinese bikes, maybe for the bike scene in China, sure, a good idea.

Off bikes, I saw the movie of the guy who won the award a couple of years back who tied a jet engine to his car and was killed when he flew into a mountain. Now is there a bike equivalent?
