  1. #1 Louija Highland Motorcyles
I called Louija Highland Motors late last year they said they were making this in China and that it was undergoing CCC certification and that the bike would be ready for sale in Feb and they'd call me..........they did and said they are for sale.........@ $12,000 USD.

they also have some smaller 450's that the website says are in development but I'm not sure how current that info is.

In January 2006, Highland Group AB, together with the Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Louyang Northern Enterprises Co. Ltd., started a joint manufacturing
company – Louija Highland Motors Co. Ltd., at Louyang, China.

Highland Group owns 29% of the shares in this company. The remaining 71% of shares are owned by a company within the state-owned China South Group. This group employs around a quarter of a million people, and is thus almost as large as General Motors Worldwide.

The China South Group specialises in the automotive sector, with assets including three car factories and three motorcycle factories, and is the owner of a number of supplier factories. The aim of the China South Group is to achieve the leading position in heavy motorcycles in China.

I think I saw a picture of this bike with MADE IN THE USA on the swingarm ....

12,000USD seems a bit steep for a China bike that has done nothing to prove it's worth. I guess time will tell how good it really is.

Wish them good luck but at this price the competition will be very very tough. If I wanted such bike KTM, Husaberg, Husqvarna or BMW are highly proved preferable choices.

I didn't know what CCC stood for, I read somewhere someone thought it was China Can Change so I wouldn't have known what to search google for.

I just had an employee call the factory number that he pulled off the web.......so I don't have a name. Sorry. I believe they make all the models there, at least the 950's.

That's an interesting looking bike. Seems a bit pricey though.

For 12g's, you can get yourself a KLR and a month long trip to South America
