I was in Cambodia (Siem Reap) a few years ago and they had unfortunately stopped renting bikes to stupid drunk 18 year old foreigners and everyone else because of that.

Phnom Phen is supposed to still rent bikes. Is that where your contact is located?

yes, he is Cambodian, living in Phnom Penh. San Visoth was our Tourguide during the Cambodian part of a great Mekong River Cruise. He organised some Bike-Trips for American Guys, riding to the Countryside on Mud-Roads, Dirt-Roads....... camping in the jungle or guesthouses in remote villages. always with a mechanic and one or two extra bikes if something is breaking down. if you want to ride an elephant that`s also possible.
sorry, he told me which bikes they are using, but I forgot it.
