hi, i have a skyteam st50-3sm bike, but i changed the engine to a 125cc pitbike engine, i was wondering if i need a new voltage regulator so that i dont over charge the battery or blow any fuses.

That's a good question. I think most regulators will output about the same amount but the question is can it handle the input. Do you know the difference in alternator output between the engines?
Hopefully an electrical guru will be along with some more definitive device.

Most Honda Cub-derived engines use the same 4 terminal regulator, looking like this:
Some electric-started cub-type engines use a larger more powerful alternator and use a better regulator, looks like this:
Jincheng Monkey JC50Q-7
Skyteam Dax replica ST110-6
Zongshen ZS125-43
Qingqi QM200GY-BA Super Motard
Qingqi QM110GY
