11-30-2009, 01:48 PMI have a Konker KSM 200 and noticed that on the rear shock it has air valve. The owners manual that I have does not even mention it. My question is how much pressure under what conditions? thanx again!

11-30-2009, 05:34 PMThanx again Carl . I think I am totally confused now. The 87 lbs pressure seems a bit high. I will check mine tonight and see what it has.I have a Progressive Suspension pump that has a no leak on and off and a bleed down feature but it only goes up to 30 lbs. thanx!

That's what I thought too but then got poked at by others saying they've got over 120psi or something in the front fork.
I remember my old 82 Magna had a air stem on it and it was suggested to leave the thing at 0 psi to let the springs and oil do all the work to maximize the life of the seals.
Check out this link and it shows Forchetto's mountain bike pump on post #6. That pump also only goes to 30PSI. He said he stroked the pump a couple times and it put in 2bar which stiffened up the shocks alot.
It may be worth getting a reading from the stock set up. Then add one stroke at a time and do the ride/adjust routine until you find what's right.
