    I have my bike now, looking at it, it has Pulse cast into the black painted oil filter casing and the V5 says it's make is Pioneer, so I guess it is a Pulse Adrenaline, but for a two year old bike, aside from the rust and a few cracked panels, it is in good condition. The rust itself, it seems is bubbling under the paint, making the paint flake off, where it has done this, the rust is not major and rubs off easily. So maybe it is frame preperation prior to painting, or the paint that is at fault, either way, the manufacturers solve that problem and it will change a few minds about Chinese made vehicles.

    But the problems the bike had, the reason for it's sale myself an a non biker, I have solved already, and in minutes with the minimum of tools, really the guy that had the thing was clueless beyond riding it, perhaps he is another example of the get on/in it and go mentality and if it goes wrong, take it to a specialist to fix thing that seems to be pervading motoring now. The throttle cable had been replaced, as it was said to have stuck open, I looked at the cable and noticed it was dry that is all, a bit of oil and I now have a spare throttle cable which slides sweetly in it's housing. I think also he had been educated to one of the fallacies about Chinese made machines, purely because of his mechanical ignorance, it was costing him to put it in for repairs, the labour rates were the killer in this.

    The other problem was the charging and ignition circuit, the fault here I found was someone had connected the earth lead to the battery with a cable tie and it was just not quite making contact. The live lead itself was held on with a self tapping screw screwed into a set screw nut, nowhere near good enough for charging, but the battery is charged now and I will source better fixings for the bike to battery connection.

    The rear indicators and mirrors had been stolen, so I will have to get those and think of some way to attach the side panels, as the original fittings have long gone, along with the moulded pegs, am thinking of doing dzus fittings, from my aircraft repair days, I remember these things were handy. So all in all I have what I believe to be a good bike, the problems are minor and repairable with some thought and I also have a complete front end, two wheels and tyres, caliper brake and drum brake assembly, brake disk and rear sprocket spare, so it will be a case of finding the best items, fit them, clean up the spares, and hopefully via fleabay make my money back on the purchase of the bike, I got the bike and spares for £325 and it is still road taxed.

    I have taken photos, and will post them, just as soon as I can get the images off my camera, a problem I have due to my CF card reader being locked in my camera case and I have lost the key to get in, so have first to make a new key.

    Hi Sprocket,

    Welcome aboard. If you sort out the snags you'll have yourself a good little machine there at a bargain price. One of my bikes is an RMR200 which is the 200c version of your bike. Plenty of really knowledgeable folk on here that've helped me no end. Only a matter of time before you're modifying!
