Hey everyone,

First time bike owner here, I was riding a little 48cc scooter (that I still have and like) until recently when Mike helped me get my new one. Great ride, but I have yet to test her open the back deep back roads of China, so wish me luck this weekend!

I come from the U.S. of A and was raised in Cali, but moved to Seattle for six years before I became an Ex-pat. Think I will stay in the far east for another year, and then who knows where, maybe Chile?

I look forward to getting to know this forum and the people who lurk about on it, until then, keep riding.

I actually have no riding experience prior to my time in "Big Red", or China as it is also known. When my G-friend and I first came to our little corner of Asia we purchased a 48cc scooter to get around, and I have been driving that for the past six months. This summer I will set out solo and travel around a bit, wish me luck!

I will leave from my sleepy little Qinzhou and ride up the coast to Wenzhou to teach for the summer. I have about two weeks to make the trek, so I hope to find a cool village or two to camp out in for a while as I go. By the way I read your blog and your big post here on C-moto, very cool!
