01-15-2010, 09:48 PMDoes anyone have an online source for Galaxy parts? I'm in the US and having trouble getting a few parts I'd like to get. I've made contact with a factory rep by the name of Lydia. I didn't get much info from her:
Yes, it is our factory who offered the SMC bike in the U.S.A. Recently we are getting a new partner in the U.S.A who will sell our bikes .Would you PLS wait for a little while. I will keep you posted once the parts availble there and ask you to contact with them directly.
Anyone have any leads?

Did you ask them about sponsorship?

01-15-2010, 11:17 PMIf I can get them to respond to the basics first I'll work on that but they are less than responsive so far...

You know, that would initially make sense but providing some "motivating" points might not hurt. As Westerners, we're process oriented...and one of the first things you learn about dealing directly with any Chinese organization is they do not share that same understanding or "process". They don't perceive customer service to have the same value as we would here so trying to win points on that front won't work...they're manufacturers, not the dealer down the street (who does seems to provide some good service).
Being sponsored is about developing a relationship which has to be clear right off the bat. Sometimes you've got to literally spell out, why it's beneficial to manufacturer before they'll bite. They help supply parts and other materials and you help provide some exposure, photos, and testing of their products. Everyone gets something out of it.
Anyway, that's my .02 FWIW. I'm sure you'll do as you see fit.

P.S. - Consider even getting an email response in less than a couple days as amazing!---------------------------------------------------

01-16-2010, 12:59 PMSounds like the Chinese are a lot like the Koreans in that regard. I will say that Galaxy has responded faster than Hyosung Korea ever did.
Thanks for the advice Carl. I always appreciate additional perspectives.
