01-24-2010, 05:02 PMHello,
My name is Andy, I think I have a 2005 zongshen dirtbike that I know nothing about. I hope you all will help me change that. I got the bike from my brother-in-law with no paperwork or prior knowledge and even the dealership that sold it has changed hands so many times that they didn't know that they ever sold it. The bike itself runs and rides good with little maintainance from me, just hard to find parts is all.
I look forward to learning and hopefully teaching something about these bikes.
Andy

Andy, sounds like you've got yourself a little project there. Do you know what model it is? Are there any numbers on the plastic?
If you can't tell, please post a pic of the bike and that will help a lot. Also, does the bike have any problems?

01-25-2010, 04:20 AMThe only numbers that i have are the vin and the numbers on the engine. I got the bike for free because it wouldn't run. All I did was clean the plug and air filter and remove the paint and corrosion from the mating surface of the coil to the frame. Runs great now. All i need is the front fender. I will work on getting some pictures up.

Iceis, looking forward to the pics so we can identify what type or model it is. Is it a 200cc engine? The displacement should be cast somewhere on the cylinder head.

01-26-2010, 05:13 PMI couldn't find any numbers on the head. The only numbers i could find on the engine were towards the bottom, ZS167FML. I took pictures and will upload them as soon as I find the cable for my camera.

Did a little digging on the 167FML... looks like it's a 200cc engine. Here are some specs:

The bike doesn't remind me of a Zongshen. Trying to place the frame but can't come up with anything but SUNL. You know what year it is? Got a VIN off the headtube?

01-27-2010, 05:12 PMthe vin is LRYPCKL0350023653. The decoder that I ran on it said 2005, China, and gave the province but says make and model unknown.

02-09-2010, 02:13 AMI finally got a hold of the dealer that sold the bike and they told me it was a 2005 Zongshen Sierra 200. I tried to do some more research on this model and all I came up with was dual-sports... not what I have. Back at square one.
