    Hey all

I'm new from Sri Lanka, and our land is flooded with chinese bikes. Mainly Loncin

My bike is marketed as a Kinetic (indian brand) but is no doubt made in china. Its been modified quite a bit from stock as you can see....

I'd be appreciative of anyone who knows anymore about this kind of bike as there are loads of bikes that look exactly the same but go under many different names, usually having subtle differences in the headlights, engines and mudguards...

    Esdeez,

Hello and thanks for introducing yourself and giving us some news from Sri Lanka.

I'm a little curious why you say it's an Indian brand and think the bike is made in China? Would like to know your ideas on what are some of the differences between Indian and Chinese bikes.

Basically Kinetic had a moped previous to this one called the V2. It was extreamly popular and reliable as it hailed from an era when kinetic had a joint venture with Honda. However, in Sri Lanka in 2008 these kind of mopeds were deemed illegal without registration because it didn't have pedals. In order to maintain its hold on this sector Kinetic (which was going through some rough times in India) they hastilly got this from china and branded it as a kinetic. All the original parts (and build quality) are Chinese.

Interesting! Kinetic's website wouldn't happen to mention the name of the Chinese manufacturer would it?
