    Hi guys!

I'm thinking about getting this bike (the supermotard version) and I was wondering if you guys could help me figure out what brand is producing it outside of my country. In Portugal the brand is NMCompetition, but I can't find much info on these bikes.

Does anyone know similar model with a different name?

    Here's a quick vid:

    OldBrotherMan,

Looks like a Galaxy 250, here seen from Supersig's Falaxy factory tour

It's also sold as SMC (Southern MotorCycle) in the UK.

I get kick out of how they claim to be making products with conception.
    http://www.mikilon.com/about.asp
They are offering six version of EEC motards….some look like a Loncin and with a 249cc and the others are 230cc.
Call on them and ask…..I’ve been emailing question in Chinese and getting Chinese back and then translating. I get the impression that they appreciate that; me doing the work rather then forcing them to do all the translating.
Doing translation require your computer to have Asian language support, you can install its dormant in windows, then all the wingding’s become Chinese symbols and Google translate will allow you to take them in the browser and instantly convert them to English.
The groups are using a matrix system, they collectively manufacture. Its not high production today and sales lately are slow so most of the production should be from primary production lines. Is Mikilon an OEM of Galaxy?
If a bike has a Loncin 250cc then all the peripherals of that engine are going to share supply lines; but some may do something a little different. They could be identical products but made in different locations.
The nearly identicals coming from different locations could have different quality in the build and in after market support.
In a matrix system often even the people in it do not fully understand it, so looking from the outside its not likely to see all the interrelationship. These types of systems have to rely on data and quantitative analysis then variances can be seen otherwise they cannot.

    call on them and ask.

Going by their "about" page, it looks like the Mikilon in Europe is a direct branch of the the company in China and not an importer, like Qlink, PitsterPro or Krieger (?). I usually find importers try to hide or "conveniently not disclose" who the actual manufacturers are... and it makes sense.

Here is the English translation of the product.
    From the distributer site;

Thus, they used a solid basis, which is equipped suspensions are robust and long-haul (Japanese), an engine 27CV cooled water with a very linear power, low maintenance, among other things that increased their performance and reliability, as a starter over-sized, a 30mm Keihin carburetor with PD model valve CFCA (Japanese) and the application of a double radiator the water. The company intends to young people in motorsport, and these models aprendisagem and evolution at a price hard to match. NMCompetition Models MX250, MX250 and SM250-R these are all models of initiation into the competition, of dimensions similar to a YAMAHA YZ250F, have a motor Loncin LC170FMM-2 of last generation 250cc 4-stroke with double-shaft balance and air valve, water-cooling radiator with dual read in conjunction with a 30mm Keihin carburetor PD model with an air cut valve CFCA (Acceleration Pump), an exhaust manifold and a 38mm tip income make this engine to charge the 21 Nm and 5600RPM 27CV the 7500RPM. The model SuperMoto goes to meet a new facet of the motorcycle market has been growing in recent times, that has all the features of the MX type, with a performance of some aluminum rims for supermoto 17 Polgar, lowering the center of gravity of the bike, getting this much more maneuverable, besides the application of a transmission slightly longer in this model. All models have electric starter provided with a battery powered by a Rotating the bike beyond the manual sitema kick to put the engine. In the field of security, the model is presented with a key system with steering column that cuts the power of the bike, making it impossible to connect in case of theft. Note: The power obtained from this 250cc engine was the primary aim of a linear track usage and strong, but always with the greatest reliability possible, existing engines from the same brand pulled over, but has a much more careful maintenance. This bike does not require a maintenance of a real motorcycle for competition level of the valves and piston, and only need to check to each use of the coolant level due to absence of reserve reservoir, the change of engine oil every 15 hours use, change the filters (air filter and oil) and verifying the proper operation of the suspensions. Thanks everyone for the info!
I'v already seen those NMCompetition bikes but the price is very high! 2650€ for the supermoto version (including lights), that's too much!
All the prices can be seen on their site.

I'll probably go buy something else, a used bike or so. Thanks!

    Yeah yeah…
The Loncin engine 250cc and getting 27hp….that's maybe what’s going in the Megelli bike in the US?
I would want a real good warranty on that engine! I wonder if the Yamaha WRX250 engine is made by Loncin? Yahmaha is asking nearly $7,000 for that bike in the US!

Good example of brand recognition, BMW uses Loncin and I suspect so is Yamaha, but I could be wrong.
Would the Yamaha customer go for the other brands? Are the BMW customers buying the Pisster pro 400 bikes?
Odd they are totally different customers? They pay for the name, but they also pay for what comes with the name.

This is great are you getting this, the engine can get 32hp but it won’t meet street legal but they are basically telling you and offering you all you need to get to 32 and also at your own responsibility.
The thing is in the US if you offer modification or if modification exist then they are limited by the price the modification that exist. If a modification cost less then a certain amount and can be done relatively easily….then it isn’t going to meet the EPA requirements. That’s a fly in the ointment for that engine….and it could be why we is not seeing them here?
    Maybe?

    Round and round….
Competition engines are not street legal and not durable for daily use.
Does that explain some things like why other are not pushing the rates on that little engine and why the Yamaha has titanium valves?
Posers and fried engines? Snap crackle pop! Your bike is smoking dude…thanks…no dude its really smoking!
