10-23-2010, 02:15 AMOK, I'll bite. What is that red beast you're astride in the final image? I see dual discs up front.
More!

That beast is the one i'm saving my money for! It's the 650 BMW-engined Loncin street bike which should be coming out next year. Oh boy oh boy, i really hope it's priced within my reach!

10-24-2010, 03:29 AMThat teaser was good , but we want:

OK, since everyone already knows about it, here are the first pics from the show. Yes it's a Loncin, single cylinder, BWM based 650cc engine. The rest of the bike has other interesting little bits like Nissin front brakes and Buel rear brakes. I witnessed the bike running and it does appear it will be available sometime in 2011.
I'm sure this will be the China dream bike for some.
Stay tuned... more coming up.
Cheers!

Thanks for the pics!!! God i want one SO bad. I would sell my left nut for one but since i doubt there are many buyers for that, i will instead get my head down and start saving now. Hopefully by the time it comes out i will have enough money and be the first man to own one!
EDIT: there's a thread on moto8 about this bike. They're saying it will cost 48000 RMB. That's a lot of money, is it 18 grand better than a JH600? It's gonna require some thought.Last edited by felix; 10-24-2010 at 09:43 AM.

Nice looking bike and thanks for the pictures V. Curious that it has Buell rear brakes. I wonder if it's because of the demise of Buell that there are tons of OEM parts available.

ChinaV, how long are you going to torment us with just a couple of photos per week?
Ask me nothing - I DO NOT speak english. Really...

Sorry Zorge, no torture intended, just got busy during the weekend and work is getting in the way today.
Moving right along with the show report....
Couple shots of the convention center and the crowd from the opening ceremony.
My first stop was at the "China South" pavilion.
China South is a massive conglomerate with some of the biggest names in the Chinese motorcycle industry.
Jialing had all variations of the JH600 out on display.
And a special model for Felix to ride to the bar and then have his girlfriend drive him home.
More coming tonight.
Cheers!

10-25-2010, 09:04 AMThanks for easing the torment, if only slightly...
Pretty funny that the innocuous sounding "China South" retains its traditional military name in Chinese, 中国兵器装备集团,which translates as China Weapons Ordnance Group. I'd thought they'd dropped the military name and switched to 中国南方工业集团公司, which indeed is China South Industries Group Company.
I didn't realize that China South also owned Qingqi.
More!

On we go to QingQi which didn't really have much for new models.
The ever popular QM200 Dualsport
The QM250 Cafe
The QM250 Motard (Liger)
QM250 Motard - Improved disc brakes with floating discs.
QM250 Motard - New fuel injection system.
Yamaha was showing the YBR. Nothing new here, but very nice graphics.
The YBR250
The YBR125
A few of the offerings from Dayang
And the last thing that caught my eye at China South was this very nice looking Peugot scooter.
More to come....
Cheers!
