Proper ATM use in China

To truly blend in as a foreigner in china, one should learn how to use ATMs like a native. Here is a quick guide:

1. Wait for someone to approach ATM, then quickly butt in from the other side, card in hand.
2. Insert card, enter PIN, then browse through every menu in the computer, making sure to pause a minimum of 20 seconds between button presses.
3. Withdraw the maximum amount
4. When it comes out, count it; as if it would make any difference
5. Hesitate, then check balance
6. Withdraw maximum amount again
7. Turn to look at growing queue with emotionless face
8. Repeat steps 4-7 several times
9. Making sure to take your sweet time, take card out and place in wallet, then place money in a pocket of your man-purse (or just purse for women)
10. Still standing in front of ATM, check phone for new messages.
11. Open jacket, extract second wallet and repeat steps 1-10 with second card.
12. Repeat with as many cards as you have at your disposal.
