Hello.

This is my second post on this forum and I'm asking for help.

Late last year I bought a SMC YB125 motorbike in the UK directly from the distributor. Since then the company has ceased trading.
I found out when I emailed them (SMC) inquiring about spare parts and received a reply from someone (not from SMC) who first of all informed me that SMC had gone out of business and went on to say that 'they' meaning his company had been contracted to take on all parts and warranty obligations. I wasn't to happy with the fact that the email address was a Google account and there was no company name but the guy assured me that all would be OK getting replacement parts so I thought 'fair enough'.
However when I contacted them again I didn't receive any reply and haven't done since which is a bit of a worry.

I have been in touch with a couple of dealers in the UK who sold the bikes and asked where or if indeed they obtained parts for SMC bikes and they said they had email correspondence with this nameless parts company somewhere in Gloucester (UK) but like me all communication had stopped leaving them in the same situation as myself and no doubt countless other SMC owners.
As you can probably guess my problem in the future (the bike is running fine at the moment) will be that I cannot get replacement parts for my bike leaving me high and dry.

I'm going to contact Galaxy motorcycles in China as they are the actual manufactureres of the bikes SMC was just a a brand name and see if they can help with getting parts. I thought I'd post my problem on this forum and see if any of you guy's can help.

Many thanks.

Darryl.
