I just bought a Phantom 150 with the four stroke. First thing was to address the rust beginning to color some of the screws and bolts. I like to keep the rust at bay by never letting it start.

Then I tackled the right shock. There was some play in the lower assembly that needed a washer. I hope I prevented a future metal fatigue problem. First oil change, and gear oil change at 300km are coming up fast, can't wait.

I'm still sifting through all the manuals, blow-ups and how to's but this one showed me how to access the brake fluid resevoir. http://baronscooter.blogspot.com/2007/10/topping-breaking-fluid.html

I'm sorry I can't get the link to work, shoot that makes me so mad.

    Diana,

No reason to get upset. Just remove the " mark from the end of the URL.

I whole heartedly agree with your rust prevention philsosophy. If the screws are rust-o-licious, consider getting stainless steele screws for the ones exposed to the elements. Rust is easier to prevent in some places than others though... where are you hailing from?

I got the same result, yours works good. Hailing from sunny San Diego. I like the stainless screw idea. That's a good idea, thanks.
I had a good ride today, no one ran me over. I try to time my rides to traffic when it becomes lite for a few times a day.
