04-18-2010, 02:45 PMHi all,
this is my first bike. I have put 200km on it so far. As bike still in break-in period, I find the first gear very short (almost useless!) as you need to immediately go into second after rolling off from stop. Otherwise, you have to rev up the engine beyond 7000 rpm to get some omph!
Have read that some people roll-off from stop in 2nd gear, tried few times but kept stalling! any recommendation on how to do that and what is the best way to shift between gears (up & down)?
Then comes the throttle control, when I first start the bike and roll off in 1st then 2nd gear the throttle is smooth and linear. Once I go up to 3rd or 4th then shift down to 2nd, I find the throttle to become very sensitive and bike will jerk on throttle input no matter how smoothly I twist throttle?! Do you have similar issue? is this normal or is it me? what to do about it?
l,
