I did the Motorbike/Car combi test for the C1E and I was required to get at least 90 out of 100.
It should all be the same around Shandong, Gra, so don't worry.
BTW my other friend, Graham, has returned to China now and his Chinese parents in-law just bought him a 90K rmb car even though he doesn't have a Chinese licence.
I'm helping him through the question banks now and he HATES the lack of sense in the majority of the questions. Lol .

If you do the motorcycle only' test then you may only have the 45/50 test... I dunno.

So I am not alone then in some of the nonsensical answers.
Oh well, just give the the answer that they want.
Regardless if we foreigners think it's correct, it doesn't matter, just the right answer for them is all that matters.

    Thanks

    Pete.

Exactly, just memorise them verbatim. Logic not required. As to the differences between 100 versus 50 question theory test. If you are applying for motorcycle license only then the theory portion of the test is 50 questions whereas a car theory test is composed of 100 questions (if it's a test for a car plus motorcycle then it is still 100 question test). Naturally though this being TIC rules come into play and for whatever reason at any given time on any given day this may vary,

    Hi Pete,

I am thinking now, perhaps I should go fro the combined "car and bike" test.
Just learn the questions, and give it a shot or two.

If i am way wide of the 90%, then perhaps just reapply for the bike test on it's own.

Absolutely, otherwise later should you wish to add the car then it will likely be a hassle and cause some inconvenience. Memorise the questions, and get 'er done.

The questions are not mutually exclusive. Of the 1500 or more questions they tap for your exam, only a handful are motorcycle specific, and they can appear in either exam. Most of the questions on the motorcycle test are general questions that appear on either exam.

Yes, it makes no sense to get a motorcycle-only license!

    cheers

    Thanks JKP,

I guessed as much, and with both bikerdoc and yourself both suggesting to go for the full licence, well, might as well.
The questions on the whole, are very much European based, and generally self explanatory.

It's the unique "China only" questions that will catch out us foreign drivers.

Verbatim, as was mentioned earlier, verbatim regardless.

You mean like the question about whether it's legal to wear high-heeled shoes while riding a motorcycle?

    3.1.2.2 穿高跟鞋驾驶摩托车,不利于安全行车。答案:正确
3.1.2.2 It is unsafe to ride a motorcycle by high-heel shoes.
    Answer: Right
