Ah good onya Matt, making me feel derelict again!
I guess one day I will stop talking about it and do it ... scared to touch it in case it stops and the car is a heap of shite at present so I need the backup wheels ... well I am all out of excuses now and will have to put up or shut up. I did go so far as to buy a welding mask so I am running out of excuses. The bashplate looks excellent btw, and that back rack looks better every time I see it. Nice looking machine the Motard when tricked up, the rack balances the look so it sort of looks ready to pounce. The red and green clashes though

well thanks to Melbourne's shitty weather, once again i was forced into the garage to tinker a bit more
ended up changing the main jet to a 155. first test lap around the block the bike ran like shit above half throttle
got home and removed the restrictor on top of the air box and the result was..........
    WOW
cant really say anymore than that as it just sums it all up
response is second to none now it almost reacts before you do and the power gain is just as good
will try to get out during the week with gps and see exactly how fast it goes now.....cant wait

    cheers

Well done! It may run a bit leaner in dry air though. You are the man with these Kinlons.

    thanks jape,
just love tinkering with them mate 'cause they so easy to work on and with a few simple mods the difference in power can be very noticeable

    cheers mate

n.b. also changed the fork oil to a 15w and feels a lot better in front end now

Looks good mate, great job. Makes me miss my little red rocket stuck under the house at Mum's. Will have to have a play with it in the new year when I get back to Australia.

    Hi everyone from Thailand!

    Site looks great CC!

THATS SICK MATE! good to see tuning and modding is happening. I'm contemplation buying a road trail version $1799 in a box, $100 shipping. I notice though that the motard is higher at the rear and has upside down forks + tyres and plastics. Are these the only diffs? I suppose i could just raise the r/t and live with the normal forks .

Matey, great to see your thread.. I have a KBR200RT and it's kind of a love/hate thing, while I can't deny the reliability and economy of it, there's plenty of room for improvement performance-wise.. your thread's given me a bit of inspiration to go down the modification path rather than ditch it for something else. I've grown attached to the little Klingon, so now if any of my mates give me a hard time about it, I'll just show them your bike. Cheers!
