Finally i managed to get all parts / components for my 16 inch wheel together:

rim is 16 inch USA import
    spokes are from Germany
    tyre is imported USA
drum off course is Chang Jiang

saturday i will try to squeeze the fat rubber into my black solo - will see how everything works out!

if everything is fine i will also outfit my red solo with such a 16 inch combo

just squeezed the wheel in to see how it fits!

anyway! so far i'm happy with the result and was worth the hassle to bring all the stuff here to china!

next update will hopefully follow within a week ...

now that whole things is running - just waiting to get the seat back from upholstery ...

now i'm considering wether i shift the frontwheel also to 16 " or keep the 19" but add a very slim AVON speedmaster on ...

feel free to give some feedback which final setup you suggest!

You already have a fine bad ass looking bike. Building custom bikes is in my opinion a form of art. I might try the 19" Avon but it appears the front mudguard will have to be slimmed by then too as well as the front fork. Not sure would it work, I doubt it because your bike looks now a litle bit front heavy, and slim front tire could make the front look to be seriously out of balance. I might try to make front and rear wheels to be kinda similar. The front tire can bigger though in diameter.

Since today i'm riding "fat" also on the front ...

after bringing another 16 inch rim + tailor-made spokes-set from Germany and after receiving the 2nd tire from the US i did it today!

the fender had to go but BJ usually is a dry area with low rainfall during the year so driving without fender won't be a problem

also the tailormade framebag is attached to the ride and comes out nicely ...

Wow - looks great. How does it ride? Have you noticed any change in performance due to the wheels / tires? I'm guessing it handles much better, but perhaps loses a bit of power from additional rolling resistance? Just guessing.
