I am using Halfords 10/40 Part Synthetic ....................... Mainly because my son has a trade card but any 10/40 Semi Sythetic of the right SAE will do .......... :)

I need to adjust the tapets as soon as I can but am unsure of clearance tolorences at the moment.
So if there is anyone out there with that knowledge please let us know.........

SAE is in simple terms a Motor Oil Viscosity Standard.
So I put Halfords 10/40 Part Synthetic in my sons and it works great.....

As by way of a bonus ................

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165507

I shall hunt out that thread ................

Also I have found these chaps for spares ................

    Hi chap

Not got an owners manual just the small booklet that comes with any new motor.
This is next to useless in my oppinion as the broken pigeon english translation that seems
to be rife thoughout the booklet makes a mokery of any info in it. Not worth the paper they used to print it up on .............
The only Mods done so far is to Widen the rubber intake snorkel on the lid of the airbox and de baffle the larger of the pipes running from what I guess to be the immisions box
on the side of the engine. Blocked of the inlet pipe to the bottom of the air box where that pipe attaches and reroute the pipe to a possition where it cant get water in it.
As for removal of the baffle that might require rejetting of the carb so I will not be messing with that at this present time. There is a small pipe that come s from the emmissions box that runs back to the intake side of the carb, just looking at a small rubber plug to bung that up then I will try and remove that and reroute that pipe elsewhere so as not to get water or dirt penetration.

    Hi chap ............................

Unsure on that here but based on it being a single cylinder 4 stroke 125 I would estimate it being around the 6500 mark max.
Under load ie moving with a person of average weight on it this would struggle to get past 5750 in top gear.
You could look into say a Honda or Susuki 125 single 4 stroke as this would give you a good base to work from.
For conformaty reasons I would say 6500 would be about right .........But look into it dont just base it on one persons oppinion ........
