Just browsed through Loncin's sites and have to say they are unusually well designed for a C-Moto company. Even better, is the Loncin.ca web page has a much welcomed solution to the parts dilemma.

If you go to their "products" page, you'll notice that nearly every single one of their models has a complete online parts list with on-line purchasing! If parts are in stock then it should be a good program.

The following samples are just two of many from Loncin's new PY250 enduro.

    Progress...

Loncin is a long time partner of Yamaha and the Chinese manufacturer that BMW chose to build the G650 engines.

    now that is mighty interesting
if the Beemer 650 motors are made here,
just spirit one out the back door (with some local guanxi) , and pop her into a local dirt bike frame, at a local monster garage,

and there you have it, a pretty viable enduro bike

If it's BMW's new parallel twins, then it's likely the 650 and 800 since they are physically the same engine.

The future could really be anything. Some strange unepxected partnerships may pop up and really get people asking questions. The Maxtra 125 MotoGP team is a decent example of that.

    And it makes sense.

The savings to produce a single vs a twin wouldn't be that great in Europe. Move one to Asia and you will see some savings. It also adds production capacity in Europe with without expensive expansion . And also makes for logical pricing in the mind of the customer........smaller bike.......smaller price. Bigger bike bigger price.

BMW are somewhat protected also as they are passing along dated technology rather than the newer technology that maybe present in the newer twin cylinder motor.

And indeed BMW cut the USA price of the G650 $1200 when they switched from Austrian Rotax engines to the Loncin manufactured ones.

It's hard to compete with China's low cost manufacturing and I think it gets to a point where if they don't manufacture in China, then they'll be at a big disadvantage against those that will.

Japanese manufacturers have been making bikes and parts in China for a long time now and they have a solid bedrock of small inexpensive commuter bikes that dominate the millions upon million of riders in developing countries. I'm not sure most, if any, European manufacturers could say the same and there's nothing wrong with a Japanese bike...and very soon, Chinese bikes as well!
