Anybody seen an electronic copy of a Jialing JH600 repair manual? The owner's manual is a bit of a joke as far as a parts breakdown.

Hey, Aggie. I asked Jialing for such materials, but apparently they don't (yet) exist, presumably because the JH600 remains a China-only bike. I did purchase the "Catalog of Service Parts for Jialing JH600 Cycle," which has very nice exploded diagrams for everything, albeit entirely in Chinese. Nonetheless it's very useful given its graphic nature, and it's comprehensive. They charge 20 RMB for it.

    cheers

Thanks, I will try that. Chinese would work.

I asked my wife and she was told they did not have it. Maybe they thought I needed English only? Anyway, I will have someone from my factory start helping as my wife does not understand the difference between an oil filter and an oil drain plug. This is what initially led to the request anyway.

Hope your weekend ride turned out well for you! Thanks ofr the information.

    jkp,
The god damn fucking jerk at Jialing my wife just talked to, again told her that they do not have this manual in Chinese or English. I am sorry to bother you, but can you send me the contact name and information that has a brain you deal with? Obviously, our contact is too stupid to be able to wipe his own ass with toilet paper. If you can send this at your convenience, I owe you.

    Thanks

unbelievable. the service manager is Mr Zhou. as your wife to ask for 售后服务工程师周先生. I don't have his contacts, but he works in the same office with Li Shilin (who is a bit of a cold fish) and Wei Hong (who is friendlier but a bit officious). Phone number 023 6519 4232. Zhou is a really nice guy, very conscientious, but doesn't speak much if any English. Another guy to ask is their sales technician Tang Wei 唐炜, who can be reached at 139 9641 1577. He's also friendly and helpful.

In chinese the service manual is titled 嘉陵JH600型摩托车配件目录及图册.

Try to find the name of the irresponsible jerks, and we can post them in MCM.

    give 'em hell!

Any luck? Does the Catalog of Service Parts actually exist, or is the one in my hand a figment of my fertile imagination?

I turned it over to the staff here at the factory. I think they have one ordered now. My wife asked me not to trash the guy at Jialing as he owes us some parts she already sent him money for. (I took a soil sample and gooned the clutch lever. Still riding but wanted to replace that along with one of the rubber grommet screws lost from the small windscreen in front and Oil Filters, etc. Factory stock crash bars on my version did good job of keeping damage off of frame, engine, etc. Just touch up painted the crash bars and off I went again) Anyway, I am sure I will get things sorted I just get tired of every thing being a fight. Can not thank you enough for your information. My staff here at the factory used it to get the manual ordered.

How is the trip going or are you back in Shanghai?

I'm in Beijing, heading today to Shenyang for a two-day meeting. Very tempted to try the trip on the Jialing, especially since it's possible to jump on the expressway here in Beijing and make the whole 600+ km trip in one shot, but last night I bought a ticket on the bullet train. Would rather return to Beijing and spend my riding hours in the nearby beautiful mountains that chinabiker has documented so well. I expect to be heading back to Shanghai by the end of the month. This may indeed involve another pass through Nanjing. If so, I'll track you down again!

    cheers!

    jkp,
Definitely let me know when you come thru Nanjing.
FYI, I now have the manual in hand. (Along with my crash repair parts) Big Blue is back to new. Thanks for the help.
