At RMB 58 the price is right! I see no decibel rating. Comments from buyers say it's very loud and a "head-turner".

I've used them on a couple bikes and they are really loud, people think a truck is coming and the response is quite amusing at times. My only issue with these types of horns is the same issue I have with loud pipes, they reflect poorly on motorcycles as a source of noise pollution. That said, sometimes safety comes first, and it doesn't appear that noise pollution is something that Chinese people will ever understand or care about.

Hi Dan,

I understand this is fixable (at the right place) for all Garmin devices, which can use the downloadable map from the Garmin homepage. It doesn't work on my older GPSMAP 278 model.

I see that 'taobao' has a japanese site but no english one grrrr! I didn't think they spoke to each other but I guess money talks loud!
I can actually get the Stebel on flEabay for $40 AU including postage which is OK by western standards but puts it on the 'maybe later' list. I wish I could get a 58 rmb one! Here is the sound link for fun ...

I remember my first trip to China brought me right to the middle of Fujian.
Weather and food are not really favorable for European taste, but scenery is stunning.

Hi Franki,
the Wilbers did really well. Especially two up on faster concrete road sections, where the usual bump in the corner let's the bike sink so that the main-stand scratches the street...this is much better controlled now. Off-road, riding alone - I really like it. I didn't install the progressive front springs yet - this will change things as well, even though, I got a bit used to the softish front end.

Did you decide what kind of horn to use on your JH600? Your initial strategy was to use two horns (above). Would these sound together or were you thinking of adding a second switch so you'd have a choice between "horn" and "nuclear option"? The Stebel Nautilus and Wolo Bad Boy cited elsewhere in this (hijacked) thread are both about US$40 here in the US, whereas very similar horns, used by ChinaV and others, sell for about 60 rmb in the mainland. Would it be worth the trouble of adding a second "nuclear option" circuit? How much trouble would it be?

I bought these on taobao for 70rmb and installed them on my XTR this morning.



I am SORELY disappointed by the result, they can barely be heard over my engine and are not any louder than the 10rmb single horn i had on before. AW, let me know if the Denso's are any better!
