#1 October Holidays: Suzhou - Fuzhou - Suzhou09-30-2010, 06:46 AM
Hello all, this is not a ride report yet, but it hopefully will be next week! I have 6 days off for the chinese October holidays and intend to not waste a single minute!
The plan is to ride to Fuzhou and back going through as many mountains as possible. It will be roughly 400km a day, provided nothing goes horribly wrong. Here's the route:
I won't be doing it alone, a good chinese friend of mine is coming along too. He rides a street bike that he built up himself around the same Loncin 250 air cooled engine as my XTR. We should be pretty evenly matched. Here's a pic of our bikes from a previous trip.
Check back in a week to find out what happened!
Wishing everyone a happy holiday!

TA, cheers!
Milton, i only have 6 days so the plan is 3 days to fuzhou, 3 days to come back. There'll be no sightseeing or any of that, it's just gonna be driving all day and sleeping all night! We're taking the westerly route down and easterly back up. My phone number is in a PM, send me a text if you think we can cross paths!
ChinaV, would be great to see you there but i won't be too pissed if you can't make it. Anyway we'd only have time to say hello and possibly a quicky. Keep me posted!
Safe riding to all!
Sabine, best of luck on your travels, i hope you don't freeze! Keep it horizontal!

I couldn't make it out with Milton on SAT, so I'll make a solo departure from Shanghai on SUN heading to southern Anhui instead.
Enjoy the October rides everyone!_____________________

10-02-2010, 05:40 PMFelix, we'll very much appreciate if you leave trail of popcorn along this route so our growing band of Shanghai-based riders can replicate this ride! Wait! You are joining our merry Shanghai band. You can lead the way. Hope you can find a way to keep the Galaxy in the endless city, or gear up with something bigger....
