    Hello all,

Now that I know more about the legal aspect of having a bike (prior to the purchase, I'm a reasonable guy ), could you help me in my choice between those 3 bikes, especially if you ride or rode on those.

I'm not talking about the price (Honda Storm is much cheaper than the 2 others, but for a reason), but according to the use I will have :
    - mainly for getting out of Shanghai on the weekends and ride all day long (on small country roads around Suzhou, Hangzhou, Moganshan, Taihu lake, etc.)
    - mainly alone (very seldom duo, I still need to convince the GF ! )
    - very seldom for inner city transportation (I have my faithful Giant mountainbike for that)
    - I can do the basic repair/maintenance by myself

As for the look of those, I'm a big fan of roadster look, so of course the YBR got my vote (in black, yummi... http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/eu/produc...a&mode=colours ), but I need to consider others factors (comfy, mileage, reliability, etc.).
    Thanks in advance guys !

Hey Rich, thanks for the answer.
I didn't buy the bike yet, some things delayed my process for getting the licence, which is on track now again.
After putting some thoughts into it, I'll take none of the above, but will settle for the Honda-Sundiro Shadow 150cc http://www.honda-sundiro.com/pro/sho...=112&ClassID=3
I needed a good comfortable solution for a lovely passenger ;-)) , and the rear seat of the CBF is...small I dare say. For the Yamaha YBR, the only back rest or sissy bar available would be a top-case, which is a big no-no forme. It's convenient, ok, but it's so ugly on the bike I cannot get myself to buy that...
I also tried this one http://www.honda-sundiro.com/pro/sho...D=94&ClassID=3 but I didn't like at all the handle bars, could not turn sharply without putting my elbows in my ribcage...
Felt right away at ease on the Shadow 150, same for the girl on the pillion seat, so...

If everything goes smoothly for the driving test, I should be ready to buy the bike at the end of Feb. or beginning of March. Will keep you posted. ;-))

Good call mate, the lovely lady will be very relaxed on the back of
That Honda, that style of bike is great on a long trip as well.
Good luck with the licence and the girl.
I know my xtr is about as comfy as a toasty cheese sandwich on the
back, this combined with a bit of fast riding makes
my girl hold on tight though, which isn't a bad think ha

Well, I think I have to take this chance and throw in a plug for my bike

Top box looks like crap, I agree. But it is a great bike. I bought mine after riding my mates YBR-G. My wife rides pillion with me on it and loves it. But you're right, I've not seen a back rest for it anywhere, and a custom one would have to be made if you needed one.

I'll throw a few pics on here just for you to mull over

BTW - I'm selling because I moved to Shenzhen and wouldn't be riding here. Of course I ended up buying a second bike anyway, but that's because I have an addiction :)

Don't get me wrong, I love the bike, especially the G version, I was seriously considering it at first, but being lucky enough to have a great girl ready to ride with me despite her fear of motorbike, and the thought of waking up on a nice Saturday morning, clear skies, and going for a trip around Zhujiajiao or Moganshan with her and the lunch in the backpack is too much... I want her to be so comfortable that she's the one waking me up to ride the bike ! ;-))

I can't argue with that! Especially if she's got a fear of bikes, that back rest is a nice thing to feel behind you.

Good luck with the purchase Fred, and I hope you're woken early and often on Saturdays!
