Shanghai Nights and Harleys

It was a beautiful night in Shanghai and the Harley packs were out tonight. I saw Harleys in four different places tonight. Here are pics of a few. A group on the Bund (I thought motorcycles weren't allowed here) and another one speeding on the Ya'an Freeway (I KNOW motorcycles aren't allowed here). Very cool. About as cool as the sidecar groups.

So shanghai is no different then. In suzhou the starbucks turns into a harley advertisement on sundays...

Shanghai, Suzhou, Abbotsford, Toronto, Vancouver. Everywhere I've been I've found Harleys parked outside Starbucks. It's like skateboarders hanging around the 7/11 drinking slurpees taken to another level. Mind you, I like Harleys, I like the way they sound and the way they look. However, I also remember a friend who showed up on his new Harley for a bbq at my place only to end up walking home without telling me after cuz he was too embarassed when it wouldn't start.

So there's the next similarity between Starbucks and Harleys.
Both overpriced, underpowered and weak, however they are presented nicely.
Maybe someone could get a full fat boy latte custom or a skinny mocha sportster.

Actually in Shanghai they seem to like the Coffee Bean's especially in Jing An district. Coffee Bean sucks.... and why would you want to go for coffee at 9 at night....
