Yeah, I'd like to join, what's the exact date?
BUT I only have an unregistered Yamaha YZ450F here in Beijjng (lamps can be fitted). Any suggestion how I can (temporary) register that bike, only for the race? May also have some guys for the back up with well equipped Jeeps and off road experience. Or I may join with my Jeep and support you guy. But I prefer to join with my YZ. Or if I'm lucky, if my business here goes better than expected, I can finally import an KTM530 EXC.

Peterkue - you don't need registration or plates on your bike for the rally.
You will have plates being valid during the rally.
    But you will need lights.

I can't say for sure, but I'd say 90% chance I'll be there with one of my sidecar bikes. And a cold beer for Morfar.

I got your DVD, but it wouldn't play with my computer. So I took my conputer down to a shop at Pinnacle Plaza and they got it so it will play plus they made a copy of it. So I have your original and one copy at my shop. I'll watch it tonight. Thanks.

Hi Carl, how can I "PM" you. I am seriously interested to join the Taklimakan, partycularly since Morfar wrote that I do not need plates and registration for my bike.

Jimbo, these are great news. No plates, no registration? Wow, great!!! Lights: No problem, have them here. Not on the bike yet, but shouldn't be a big deal (hope the generator supplies enough power, it a pure MX-bike, otherwise I'll use batteries ;-).
Do I need a bigger fuel tank (shouldn't be a problem to find one).
How to they navigate? GPS, Roadbook, signs???
OK, I'll check out the website now (last time too long ago)...

    Peter,

There's a feature in this community called "Private Messaging" (PM) which you can find in the navbar in two places.

One is the "User CP" or User Control Panel and the other is below you name where it says Welcome on the right hand side. You should see a little link that read "Private Messages".

From there you can send a PM to anyone on the list.

Jimbo, Morfar, and/or Carl, I would be interested in such a DVD.

Carl, are you really going to Amsterdam for the film festival or something else? I remember being there in the early 90's and the girls looked like all my teen idols from Penthouse, Hustler, etc. and there was a skunky smell in the air (not from the girls...)

OK, back to the rally and the DVD
