I bought the XF because I plan on using the bike as a commuter bike, but I want to switch over the wheels during winter weather (read snow, ice) and put some knobbies on for getting back and forth to work. Toss in a couple of sheet metal screws and I am off.

The question, What wheels can I switch out to. I read from Beemerboy on his ADVRider post that a rear DR200 wheel just bolts right on, should be somewhat easy to find a used one of those.

What about the front? Same situation? A DR200? I found one from a 96, but am hesitant to pull the trigger until I can get some more info.

    Thanks in advance,
    Roger

    Roger,

Good question. Not sure about the DR200 wheel but it would be good to see if you could borrow one as a test. OTOH, I believe Konker, the Canadian QingQi dealer, sells wheel sets so it may be worth asking them.

I am actually looking for the offroad version of the wheels. I will shoot them an e-mail though.

Is it possible to get a high res shot of the front wheel and hub if it is the XP model (dual sport).

I know I'm a bit late replying but rather than changing wheels would it not be easier just to get a set of dual purpose tyres?

That would be fine, but I do not have the tire changing equipment at my house. This would be difficult to do at my house the morning of or the night before.
