The 250 GY is obviously the X-Rock prototype mentioned elsewhere on MCM. If I was looking for another bike, I'd be looking at that.

Also, on the 250GY-B I see upgraded rotors both in the rear AND front, as compared to (now) my QingQi... what are the chances that a phone call or trip to the factory would get me a set of those caliper carriers and rotors? (not to mention the modified exhaust header)

What are the chances all of this is a moot point in light of the CCC rules coming down the pipe?

Regarding the parts, this guy on Taobao has been pretty good when it comes to getting stuff. The key is to make sure he understands exactly what you are looking for with very clear photos. I do have a guy looking for the brakes and pipe for you through QingQi in Jiangmen

Regarding the CCC issue, the cutoff is Jan 1, 2011, as long as a bike is registered before, I think you are good to go for 10 years so far as you pay your renewals every two years. AFAIK, the rule only pertains to new registrations after Jan 1.

    Cheers!

I'm in the process of obtaining my drivers license. So I am kind of waiting to get that over with before buying anything. But seems like I would have to hurry, if I want to be able to get a QingQi registered!

I am for one interested in what China-V gets next…but to be honest the options seem limited.

Maybe a Shineray water cooled 250? Seem like reasonable option?

How about a DIY bike, so you won't be bored during christmass? Let's call it The Rabbit, to stay in Ekki terminology!
