People have said that as with all else, these stainless 'performance' cans are obtainable and cheap in China, about $30 or less - yet I can't find a decent length one for the 200cc bikes on Ebay Aus. A few monkey bike shorties is all. And Forchetto's Xian mate who used to do them ex UK got a bad rep and has disappeared.

So come on, lets have one of you expats setup an Ebay site for all these cheap parts and accessories like these cans and barkbusters.

And if you are too busy or too lazy, get the wife onto it!

The Ebay thing won't work as a business venture for anyone. Too much red tape and risk of getting burned by the tax authorities. A few shipments go OK, then they host an Olympics, economic forum, asian games etc. and customs goes bonkers and does their job for a month or so. There's no reliable way to provide the service you are seeking without big headaches. People barely know what bike they have, much less what parts they need, so you ship a 15 dollar widget and the freight costs 45 and then it's wrong so you try to send it back, but that aint going to happen because customs won't let it through...yada...yada...yada.

But if you want something, let me know, I would be happy to send you what you need as I have done for many other people.

    Merry Xmas

Ok guys, thanks to you both! I didn't know Ebay was such a hassle. I know there is risk with post but thought insurance could be built in, maybe only worth it for 'virtual village' and the other really big places. I buy most of my electronics stuff from Ebay stores based in China; HK and Shanghai mainly it seems.

Will catch up in the new year when credit card is paid off a bit. Meanwhile I shall look them up on taobao and in past threads here.
