Right. That's exactly what I wanted to say: "No Love". Their product isn't special because manufacturers themselves feel it is not.
The quality is indeed improving and I think with more and more Japanese/Italian/American technology actually implemented in the Chinese bikes they'll eventually become something.
But it still is a long way until we see a 100% Chinese bike designed, engineered and manufactured in China.
Actually, as for GW 250, I'd buy it as a daily commuter and I think it won't disappoint. Very-very comfortable bike from my perspective. One more thing: it looks big in the shop, but looks kinda small on the road.

The Suzuki GW 250 has a upright seating position and it is far more good than compared to CBR and other 250cc bikes. When it comes to power, the Suzuki has been left as a perfect substitute for the CBR250R and Ninja 250 to spare no effort in this new beast.

It's different from CBR250R and Ninja250 in class. Those ones are more sport-oriented, whereas GW250 is more of a commuter. Actually, there WAS a bike that could easily beat GW250 on most points, that being Yamaha Zeal FZX250. But that had a very brief product run and was not appreciated as it should've been.

You are absolutely right that Yamaha Zeal FZX250 is far ahead that GW250 and reason behind not being as successful as other is also very true. But in my view GW250 is better because it is also not promoted very well as it is popular but features and mainly Look of bike has attracted more customers to this power machine.

Went to the Suzuki dealership again today. All the 6 GW 250 from the showroom floor were bought out. In a couple of months. Now, that is a factor.

Well, it looks like we finally have an affordable international-grade (US-approved, that is) bike here in the mainland. Wonder when it'll happen to other brands, though.

The GW250 is also being offered in Japan as a GSR250 and for $5,326.79 USD, in sliver, red and black.
