#1 2008 Secret Valley06-02-2008, 05:55 AM
Downhill towards Sihai
Suddenly in dense fog
Within the fog, temperatures went down and soon the fog started to freeze on our clothes and visors.
Three in the fog
It was freezing cold and we thought that we had to return when we suddenly were in bright sunshine with much better temperatures.
We made our way to the point where the path turns off the main road.
The dirt road climbed steadily and soon we reached a gate. Closed, locked up with a chain and no one around. After we found there was no way around, we decided to take the one door out of it's hinges, drive through and put it back in place
After the gate
We crossed several remaining snow patches
Incredible views opened up and when we stopped and the engines were off, we could enjoy the complete quiet in this area.
The end of secret valley
We always waited for another gate to appear, but surprisingly it never did

Chinabiker,
I think were not laughing at you but talking about a famous travel book writer named Robert Louis Stevenson. It's true!

Well Well Well!
For those who don't know, Robert Louis Stevenson has written Treasure Island one of the best Adventure book of all time.
So Nick's reference first shows that he has read at least one book in his life second IMHO a positive acknowledgment of Chinabiker's thread!
Hope that PCness won't strike this forumRide report - Few weeks in South West China
